Default Worn Piston Rings?

I have had a problem losing oil for a while now.
But my question is this- I have noticed after starting the car and giving it some gas, the exhaust "spits" an oily water. It's thin, but dirty. Today I fed it some gas while it was warming and the exhaust spewed out "oil-h20" to reach about 4 feet! Not a puddle - just shot-out liquid.

Is this a sympton of bad rings? If not, what the hell is it?

It's most likely some kind of seal. When was the last time you had a valve adjustment?

I had the same problem with my CRX and I found out that my cam timing was off so the fuel wasnt getting burned and it was coming out of the exhaust. The cam pulleys were off one tooth.

if you're head gasket is bad or the head is cracked, you're car should over heat.
just a thought.....
