Default p28 ecu on dx motor and uberdata question.....

a stock p28 on a dx....will it run ok? i just put one on my 96 dx and the idle was horrible and had a code 21 for vtec solenoid....took that off right away

and with uberdata, can u make a non vtec ecu run vtec by selecting the options and wiring it up? and i guess u would be able to only wire the solenoid if u disable the other vtec requirements correctt??

I suppose you could chip the p28 with a dx (p06?) program and disable vtec.

For the second question, yes you can convert a non-vtec ecu to work with vtec. Look at the pgmfi or uberdata forums.

Good luck.
