its a hollow bar so its not like having the progress or ctr bar is any less better....just cheaper

But isn't the Hotchkis bar also adjustable?

why do you want to run a bar that large?

are you aware of the effects?

Backwards.

A larger diameter bar (assuming same type, solid/hallow) will reduce understeer / increase oversteer.

For the the street I think a bar that big would not be the best choice. An inexperienced driver in an emergency situation is going to loop the car.

i would say honda has overkilled the front bar making it harder to oversteer...so a larger bar is good but even though its 27mm in diameter is still hollow and not as strong as a solid 27mm bar
and it is adjustable

that's not true. a solid bar when it's smaller like 20mm is stronger then a hollow. but when it gets to 27mm a hollow bar is stronger. it's the structure of a bar. as a hollow bar gets larger, the bars strength increases.

Since I am using a 27mm solid front progress bar the hollow rear 27mm hotchkis bar still won't cause too much oversteer because the front is solid..thoughts?

ur gonna have to back that up cause that makes no sense....a tube is strong laterally right? when twisting where is the support? Every write up ive seen abuot the bars has said the opposite of what u say...they say 27mm hollow bar same as a 25mm bar

a bar that large is going to make the car twitchy at speed.

imagine an emergency lane change on the x-way. snap oversteer is going to be happening before you know it.

oversteer isn't necessarily a bad thing, but snap oversteer is extremely dangerous.

Yes please try it! The progress bar is nice but it seems they didn't take into account contact with the rear exhaust section. 2 hours in traffic with the thing rattling makes want to drive my car off a cliff

Just keep in mind that the wall thicknesses are changed as well as material from DOM steel all the way to Moly, depending on the desired rates at time of development. This 27mm hollow bar that you purchase from Hotchkis is the same exact one that Bill Fenton runs on their #27 car in the Grand-Am Series RSX. If you have read Hondatuning Magazine, then you have seen the car. It is recommended that the 27mm bar be used for track purposes. This setup also will clear the Spoon Header (Per Edmun Laurea, President/CEO of Opak Racing).

The adjustability of the bar is rated at 202% and 220% stiffer than a factory RSX-S rear bar.
