Got fuel and spark, car wont start
I have spark, and i have fuel to the rail. The car wont start. Havent really troubleshooted it to much, i just figured I would start by posting on here. As of right now im thinking injectors or something along those lines. What effect does splicing the resistor pack wires with butt connectors have. I know that there is a certain resistance that must be maintained, but how would this effect it from starting? Any thoughts. By the way this is a 92 Si prelude motor in my 93 Vtec Prelude. I am using the engine harness for the si, and the ecu for the si. Any thoughts?
With the ignition on, you should have 12 volts at the injectors (the ECU completes the path to ground for each injector at the right time). The resistors just limit the current to the injectors. That's necessary because of their design (you won't get more hp by bypassing them). Check your wiring for bad (open) connections.
