I have a 2000 R and it has been sputtering on me for the past couple of days. Only happens when I hit the gas. Thinking it might be a plug wire going bad but thats just a guess. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

sputtering??...need more detail bro....on freeway? in VTEC?...mileage on ur R??....ur past tune-up??

 

74K miles, comptech header, intake, and apexi exhaust. It does it in low rpms on the street only when I'm driving. It doesn't do anything at idle. Just checked the oil when I filled up on Sunday and it is fine. It loses power when it is sputtering and has sort of a jerky feeling to it.

 

Change out your spark plugs, wires, distributer cap and rotor.

yup!!! do a valve adjustment while ur add it and check timing....check ALL fluids ..u should be good to go

Thanks in advance.</TD></TR></TABLE> could be a number of things...injector, plug, plug wire, ignition timing, fuel pressure, fuel filter, compression rings....could be thouasands of things...those are just the most obvious

whens the list time you serviced it? could be a bad plug wires or cap
