ticking valves?

Default ticking valves?

i have a type r head that i just put some skunk2 valves in...i did a valve adjustment about three times and i still hear ticking..it's not my injectors..could it be my rock arms? what else could it be? please help! thanks.

do you have stock pistons? what kinda of compression are u running?

You sure its not the injectors, they are kinda loud.

time to break out the stethoscope and deterime where that tick is comming from. But as rob said, check the injectors... they can be louder than you might think at first.

no it's coming from my head...i can hear it because i stick one end of the screwdriver on the head where it ticks(intake side) and the other side to my ear..i can hear it ticking...i have a gsr block with usdm type r pistons and type r head with skunk 2 valves and gsr cams

Please explain where the sound is coming from, rocker arms are in the head, valves are in the head and Injectors are in the head. If you hear a noise coming from the bottom of the motor- that's really not good- stop driving and have it looked at by a professional.

Have you ruled out the tranny for noises?

like rob said it would really help individuals to aid you as where the noises are coming from and would help others in identifying the problem if it occurred to us.

Maybe a lost motion assembly went bad, or didn't get installed.
