so it has occured to me that since getting my car back from P1, it seems to run better and cleaner when I run the **** out of it.

It idles better <U>and</U> pulls harder than it ever did, maybe it's the new firmware on my EMS, but I'm enjoying it greatly. It made me think, how often does everybody else see full boost for at least 3 gears?

I'm all forged bottom end and BG, no sleeves, but really low compression, and I twist it to 7200 (LS) about once every 2 or 3 days. Keep in mind that this is 14 lbs on pump gas, and on particularly cool days, I let it go to 21 lbs on 93 octane.

I'd like to know a little about your set-up, forged or no, sleeves, headwork?

I won't hurt to brag a little bit, you worked hard on it, or paid a lot for it

just for the record, I saw 26 lbs on pump when I was hooking up my Profec, had some vac. lines on the wrong ports, and it spun the top of 4th at about 90 mph. No damage though, but it only spun up and right back down when I pulled over...

 

Put it this way, up until today, since I put my turbo on, I haven't seen more than 190 miles a tank. And no, tuning is not the issue. I just boost the **** outta it every day!

It's more of a beat it first through second, I don't really like speeding too much (suspended liscense for not paying a ticket, so I can't get pulled over) and using the power to pass cars on the highway or what not.
Everytime I go to drive somewhere, I say to myself "I'm not gonna boost, just set the cruise control and relax" Yet a minute later I find myself dropping into 3rd and mashing the gas to pass some ******* next to me. . .

I street tune my car so, when I was tuning it I must have put 10 full boost runs on it in 2 days last week. The setup and time is in my sig . I am pleased for now and I will be building a bottom end for next season over the winter. I paln on not taking it out of vacum except for at the track. I have more fun at the track when i can have something to show for my efforts. It is my daily driver but, I keep the boost on the track(unless tuning)

Almost every chance I get. If I just wanted some oomph every once in a while, I would of gotten a bottle. I want this **** multiple times, every day!

Sometimes i'll go days without boost. Open downpipe and lots of tirespin draws alot of unneeded attention on the street. Every once in a while going to and from work i'll pass some slow traffic though

when?

 

when i took my car out, i was in full boost all the time. I really only drove it on nice weekends soi needed to blow the carbon out

 

lately i've been tuning my car so at least a good 2-3 3rd gear pulls a day the past couple of weeks.
