Default Ok... My Motor blew... help me please....

Well....

Thisi s what happened:

I knew that my motor was going to blow sometime or sooner... and which it did.

Before I went to the track I knew my car was eating a lot of oil... So I changed my oil before I went...

After like 4 laps on the track my motor blew....

Now I'm pondering what happened internally so I Know what stuff to buy.

Can anyone in this forum tell me what could of happened to my motor. My motor sounds like a knocking sound when you turn it on.

Well help me out guys

depends what motor it is. and how much damage it did. mainly the bearings, but could have spun the main caps and crank ...from the looks of it you may have blown the pistons rings as well.....also the head gasket. i have had a customer come through who actually bent his valves when blowing a head gasket as well. could be a number of things. chances are, that motor is finished.

hope all goes well

somebody let the chidori go in your motah.....

the very least it sounds like you spun a bearing and in the process likely ruined your crank. You'll need all new bearings for sure at this point.

Take it apart to be absolutely certain.....

Do you have a stock oil pan on your car or a baffled one?

If you run a stock pan and you go on the track with less than a full crankcase of oil - then oil starvation under high G turns can wreck your motor.

"sounds" like you have a spun bearing on the crank - but really it could be anything.

BPR - who checks his oil FREQUENTLY

you will have to open up the motor to figure out what happened. it seems like you just want her back. just buy a new motor with all the cash you got.
