my shifter rattles like crazy, i bought the short shifter when i had my ex motor in there, when i swapped i kept the same shifter. if i stay accelerating it doesnt rattle but if i keep it at an even speed it rattles like hell and sometimes its hard to shift into gears. is it cause the clutch is going? do i need a new shift linkage cause i remember the guy sayin that he had to bend it back to make it fit. or do i need a new shifter or all 3? and if my clutch is going how would i know?

 

jack it up and see if its rattling on anything. ( heatshield, exhaust pipes) also check the bushing.
