Default The results are in (Dyno Day)

Wednesday Nov. 3rd was the day of reconciliation...
2 months of slaving, reconstructing my NBP R to running status was finally rewarded with something to show for.
After 2 hours of diag. work Jeff was able to PARTIALLY tune the car to 14 psi, at which point my GHETTO Profec B would not increase the pressure anymore! Not to mention my starter taking a sh*& on the dyno (WTF?).
Thanks go out to Nate for the street tune, enabling me to get to Easton, and Jeff for his impressive knowledge of the hondata system!
Stay tuned for round 2 which will cover the high boost tune and some new modifications.

I was under the impression that the testing was done at the wheels... it was using a dynapack. I am not sure what the drivetrain losses are compared to a dynojet, but I would be willing to guess it would be signifigantly less in light of the fact that there is no slippage at the wheels.

jdmvtec28- the "GHETTO profec B" you speak of, is it the spec 2(digitial one)?

I am not sure that the translation for F. Wheel torque, is flywheel. I will ask Jeff next time I speak with him.
For comparison purposes; I will be taking the car to a regular chassis dyno to see how the numbers differ.

thats odd, thats the first time i heard of anyone haveing issues with the orginial. my cars at 15psi now(on the high boost ****) at its only half way. it used to be 3/4 of the way but i replaced the boost controller lines(the ones from the turbo and from the wastegate to the greddy box) that came with the controller with fuel injected fuel line of the same inner diameter. the lines supplied with the controller got really soft with all the under hood heat. maybe try that and see if that helps.

This Profec B has had a long life... it was in my turbo GSR, then sold to a friend, then I repurchased it. Basically I had no business putting it into the Type R. I am currently pricing a Profec Spec 2 or AVCR.
