It all depends where and who you go to.

Some places will charge upwards of $165 an hour, including dyno time, wideband, and tuning. Other places you will need to pay ~$100/hr for the use of the dyno, and then pay your Hondata tuner whatever he charges an hour. It all depends if the shop tunes Hondata, if youre comfortable with them tuning it, and what youre trying to achieve on the dyno.

I would say hondata is better for tuning because it is pretty vehicle specific. VAFC is a universal type controller that controls fuel +/- %50 of stock fuel maps, and cannot control timing at all. Hondata, can control timing which is very, very important.

On the line of dyno tuning my shop charges $100 an hour, many gawk at the price but most of the guys are just cheap fools. Only experienced people realize the good deal they have got going.

Where are you located? Maybe then we can refer you to some places we've had good experiences with...

A good place here charges $185.00 an hour. A Grip load of money...

That's why its ALWAYS best to get all the parts in first, THEN tune your car.

Import Builders is where you want to go...Jeff knows his ****, especially with Hondata.

And Hondata is a more accurate tuning tool compared to a VAFC, without QUESTION. Youre talking about 2 totally different products...Hondata has the edge in every single aspect and can do 10x more.
