Default low on oil after 1,000 on turbo

well its been just about 1,000 miles since i finished my turbo gsr settup. still untuned. and yesterday i was driving around and noticed the oil lamp light on the cluster came on blinking. so i'm low on oil i'm guessing?? but why? its only been 1,000 miles since i put the motor and turbo in. hrmmms so i did an oil change right away. my question is does the turbo take this much amount of oil? what might be goin' on? the exhaust dont throw out white or blue smoke at all. runs clean, no leaks underneath either from what i can see.... turbo guys, SKOOL me plz. thanks

depends, obvisouly if leaking thats a problem, second I think a turbo needs maybe an extra quart cause of the lines (i might be wrong there), if its a fresh rebuild, maybe the rings are bad on the pistons? a lot could be wrong or possibly nothing...

Just do A little searching around the engine and make sure when your driving it isnt burning oil your gas milage ok? I would just get it on the dyno and see what you got goin for a/f and make sure its tuned then maybe that will fix problem.

maybe get a oil pressure gage and watertemp and i mean CHECK YOU OIL everyday

yeah i'll rack it up on the dyno thanksgiving week. hopefully nothings goin' bad here. rings are brand new JE's. i'm thinkin it could've been low on oil due to the oil leak i had the first few days when i finished the turbo settup because the turbo wasnt clocked right and oil leaked through the dp.

hey you know how the drag manifold kinda blocks the oil dip stick off. how could i make it so that the oil stick wont bend 'cause right now my oil stick is bent to the right due to the manifold being in the way.
