How high of boost are you planning on running? "Boost" headgaskets are extra money that you don't need to spend - unless you are running higher pressure. Just make sure you get your motor tuned well, and a stock headgasket should be fine. It's detonation that blows headgaskets, not the boost.

regargless of what u throw at it, of course up to a point though, purchase a cometic boost application gasket and some nice ARP head studs and torque those babys down, btw not that i dont believe in cometic, but ARP's can be reused up to 20-25 times, as long as threadin isnt stripped, and even when it happens, you can order one bolt for a few bucks instead of around 100-120 for another whole set......also gasket runs around 100-120 i think

from my understanding the cometic gasket will lower the compression a little which would help with the longlivity of my stock b18. I had the head off and i was like what the hell. why not. So you guys think the stock head gasket with the arp head studs would do the job just fine???

why skimp on it? just do it right the first time so you dont have to learn from stupid mistakes.

I'm using a oem head gasket and I reused my oem head bolts... I ran 16-18psi (340hp) and now I run 11psi (262hp) with no problems
