Default High Boost B16...how important are head studs?

I am rebuilding my B16 with sleeves and forged internals for high boost. How important is it to use head studs, or can I just run new factory head bolts, since I just bought them about a month ago for my last build.

Also, I see from searching that an oem head gasket is one of the best...if tuned properly will it be able to hold 20+ psi, or should I go with a Cometic HP?

Thanks and Merry Christmas,
Craig

Only use headstuds.

Headstuds seal the gasket much better as they can spread the pressure across the area better. Best freaking $100 you will spend on that motor. Period.

yup headstuds are worth every penny its what keeps the head from lifting at high levels of boost.

ARP or AEBS both high quality studs. If you want th best get you head machined fro some arp 1/2 head studs for the ultimate hold
