Default JDM 96 ITR Brakes (Rotors?) Sizes

Anyone know the actual spec for the discs? Diameter, thickness etc.

I'm looking for replacements that I will be sourcing myself in the UK but need to know the spec. Stud pattern is 4x114. (Front and back)

Thanks for you help.

Bbasso thanks for the info.

Yeah I've read thought the mass of threads and there's alot of information, however there does not seem to be any hard facts like actual sizes for the 96spec JDM ITR discs (front and back).

I belive I can buy some aftermarket discs from the UK but have no idea what sizes Honda fitted as standard. I'm not interested in upgrading sizes although i will prob get drilled or grooved discs.

I'd shy away from the slotted or drilled discs if I were you. I never hear anything good about them.

As for the dimensions of the rotors... I dunno, Someone here has to know, just wait and I'm sure the info will pop up.

Anyone else?

I've even started searching google in Japanese with no joy! I'm going mad.

Someone in HT must have this data tucked away!

Ibme_uk

Sod the replacements go for the upgrade as I have.

Go to you local motor factors and get..
Prelude 2.2l VTEC rotors and calipers.

A slight bit of grinding is needed of caliper mounting bracket if you are still running the original JDM rims.

If you need any more help just PM me (I'm in the UK too so the parts are easier to source than what I can see in the US!!)

96-spec ITR rotors are:

Front: 262mmx21mm
Rear: 239mmx9mm

Specs are from the Project Mu website.

As mr.ben said

I have done this mod too, takes you upto the 98 spec size of 282mm, and its not difficult.

Rears are a little more of a pain to be honest, I purchased some EBC Blanks and had them redrilled to fit 4.114.3. Otherwise mardi gras motorsport should be able to get you some oem but they are expensive.

If you do not decide to go ahead with the lude mod then the front standard 96spec discs are 99% the same as Rover 800 items, u will just have to file a little of the caliper bracket down.

you can also use, 92-96 prelude SI brakes. rotor's and calipers. For the rear Just use 92-96 prelude Vtec. I think they might be the same as other models though.

I got my front OE discs from Mardigras...96quid per disc!!! so theyre not cheap...prelude non-vtec front discs are also the same size as 96spec ITR discs (262mm) and you will need to grind a little from the inside of the caliper to get them to fit correctly.
