JDM 96 ITR Brakes - I need some information!
I just bought a 95 GSR recently, and it came with the 96 JDM ITR 4x114 suspension/wheels/brakes.
Lately, the brakes have been making grinding noises. The noises have made me doubt the cars braking capabilities. I took it to a shop because I thought it was my ABS flipping out, but they told me my rotors were fuct (meaning they can't be re-surfaced anymore).
So my question to you Honda-Tech people is:
What other rotors can I order that fit. Anything that will clear my calipers?
A friend told me to go with the 94-96 Prelude VTEC Rotors. I just want to double check before I start ordering stuff online. I really don't want to get another set of these JDM rotors. I think they come as whole sets, not just two front rotors.
Also, what kind of brake pads am I supposed to get (or fit) for these JDM ITR calipers?

I DO BELIEVE THE 95 H22 VTEC ROTORS WILL FIT YOUR APPLICATION

Re: JDM 96 ITR Brakes - I need some information! (HOOKUPS)
Actually the Prelude VTEC rotors (fronts) are 11" and the GSR/ITR 4-lug rotors are 10.3"
10.3" ITR rotors (same size as the GSR rotors, just 4x114)
11" Prelude rotors, using Accord model calipers.... 3mm spacer needed w/ITR wheels
10.3" ITR 4x114 rotors vs. 11" Prelude 4x114 rotors
Your best solution.... get some GSR rotors and redrill them to 4x114. That's what I did to a few sets and for other people.
BTW, you can use the stock ITR/GSR calipers with the 11" rotors but it's not going to grab the entire rotor (smaller contact area) and braking won't be as good. That's why you need a larger caliper, and a specific Accord model caliper will only work as it's the most narrow of the Prelude/Accord calipers out there to fit under your wheel.

Are the non-vtec 94-96 prelude rotors smaller then? Just wondering. I gotta get my god damn brakes fixed. I don't even feel like driving the god damn thing anymore.

actually... my friend had the same problem. we measured up a 86-87 Acura Legend front rotor, and it had the same measurements.. 10.3'.. and it was a 4x114. as for the brake pads, we used 96 GSr ones. hope that helps.

I believe the width is slightly different, or at least the offset of how it mounts to the knuckle so you may have to use some shims/spacers on the calipers to make it grab the equal amount on both sides of the rotor.

if you are maintaining the oem size rotors all around, the direct replacement brake pads are 94-01 integra LS,GS,RS,GSR.. they are all the same.

Hmm, my spare GSR calipers don't clear my redrilled 11" rotors, I thought you needed the 5-lug ITR calipers (or early accord wagon?) to fit the 11" rotors properly. The 11" rotors I used were from the front 94-era prelude vtec 4x114.
Maybe the accord ones will work, but aren't they different - as their wheel bearing bolts to the rotor, where as the civic/tegs they're pressed on??

gsr calipers are for the 10.2" calipers. i know for a fact that if you use 92-96 vtec prelude calipers, pads and brackets for the front, that it will clear the 11" VTEC rotors. I know because thats what i have on my car
