16 is correct, run 18 if you are n/a for a little more in power.

You adust it by getting a timing light.

Uh, thats not good. Should be around 16.

stock is 16 deg. +- 2 deg. You need a timing light to check it and adjust the distributor until the red light lines up with the arrow.

Mine is 16 BTDC. So is it right? or it should be 12 BTDC?
My car is running sluggish. If it is 12 BTDC then thats the reason. I don't have manual so can you guys confirm it?

advance the dizzy and it might help. Use to have idle problems with my z6 when i had it. I believed it was at 16btdc stock but i set it at 18btdc for a little retard power. It idles funny cause your bottom end is advance and your tdc is retarded plus your dizzy might be center. play with the dizzy
