Default LS VTEC ?

Yes i have sitting im my garage a full B16A SiRII engine and also a full B18B1 LS engine. Wanting to know how to turn the B18B1 into a vtec by using the B16A head. I have heard that the LS block produces more torque and the vtec lets it rev out to produce top end. What should i do. This engine swap is going into a 2000 CIvic HX. Thanks for anyones help. Please email

Mitchell

If you want more power and you're going all motor setup, than go with the LS Vtec.
buy all the fittings that you're going to need for the setup, and get the head done properly for the LS block. use the B16a tranny and the ecu. theres your LS Vtec. before you do this setup i would recommand you put some Vtec pistons in the block.
Good luck on your build up. Give me a call if you run into any problems.
Note: please check out the Best Buy section.

fittings steal braided lines 3/4th's l's and 1/8ths adapters for the oil pressure sender.
bore out the dowle/s
plug the vtec for the head
get b16a pistons p30 give you a 11.4-6 compression.
