Filler neck (where you put gas in)?? I had to remove that to drop my tank enough to replace the fuel pump.

Try removing all of the hoses as well as the metal thing where you fill the tank at.Also be sure to all of the wires going to the tank.

pull the center piece in the crx out you have to unplug the gas sending unit in the back of the car from inside. It has one or 2 wires and 3 screws i believe.

can it move around like just something is holding it from coming out, or is it still stuck and it cant move like something is still mounted on the tank ?

when i took my gas tank out to change my fuel pump, took out filler neck, disconnected all fuel lines, sending unit, took straps off and the tank came down. getting it back up was a bitch.

but i also remember having to take or loosen something on the front passenger side of the tank, but i forget what it was

Mine was stuck to the undercoating of the car.. But if its loose and isng comming down then something else might be holding it.. Did you unplug the harness going to it?
