noob looking for info. - boost control on tial waste gate
I have an external tial 35mm waste gate with a 6-7 psi spring in it. I am wondering if a manual boost controller can bring the psi down to 3-4, or am I going to have to change the spring. I want to bring the boost down until I get some more stuff to keep the engine from running lean(injectors and fuel booster pump) and something to retard the timing. Does anyone know how to retard the timing on an 03 civic ex? Another question is how does the waste gate and boost controller hook up to work properly (Which hoses go where?). And yes I am new to turboing and don't know very much at all, that's why I'm asking questions.

You will have to change out your spring if you want to run lower boost.

The wastegate can either be hooked up to the turbo or the intake mani. I've heard it's more accurate hooked up to the mani. The boost controller hooks up to the top of the wastegate.
