Default completed jun ecu upgrade..........now spun bearing........

ok here is the story. i wrecked my prelude but had another one. i took my jdm engine out of the wrecked prelude and put it in my other prelude and put in a jun programmed ecu. redline:9200rpm, no speed limiter, no rev limiter, vtec at 5700.... it ran good and all worked. extremely fast. going to school the other morning and pulled up next to a friend. down shifted to third at about 55 and punched it . ran fine but batt. light came on and engine started making a noise. so i listened and its coming from the oil pan. loud grinding sound..... i have to find out what caused it....... i think its a bearing. all stock internalls. cold air intake. headers. custom exhaust. no power steering. no ac . plus jun ecu... did the ecu high rpms cause it? is it because the engine was in a wreck. i have to find out please help......oh yeah h23tranny hybrid.92 prelude s with jdm h22

Redline of 9200rpms??? WTF!!!! Did you try to rev it that high??

Man, all of you guys who get excited about revving the shyt out of your motors are keeping a lot of JDM importers extremely happy.

Can I ask you all who like to revt he motor a question. What is so exciting about revving the motor that high?? I still don't get it.

word of warning.

never buy a shitty ecu that isn't tuned specifically for your car.

you'll end up wasting money and messing up your car.

If youve ever looked at stock jdm h22a dyno graphs you would see that you start losing power after 7200 rpm. The stock cams wont make power that high.

</TD></TR></TABLE>Yea... I'd say you+ecu=boom. There's no reason to have an ecu thats not tuned to what you have. 9200 rpm's on a motor thats pretty much stock... shame on you.

best thing to do is drop the oil pan and check out the bearings if its coming from the oil pan. maybe your thrust bearings over spun and dropped
