Default Need Help bad..cant hook up subs.

I got 2 12'' Sony Xplod 4-ohm Subs and I got a 800W Sony Xplod Mono Amp it's the XM-DS1300P5..I was told they need to be bridged...since i'm a total n00b when it comes to car stereo setup's I need to know how to hook them up! The deck and wiring kit are installed fine, it's just the damn subs arent working! I was doing some research and it says theirs 2 ways to wire them, parallel and single. Do I have to bridge them then connect them parallel? How the hell do I bridge them? I have no clue how to hook the subs up to the amp. Or how the hell to bridge, please help.

wire them in parallel. that will lower ur ohms. put one positive from the amp to ones positive on 1 sub. and 1 negative on amp to the negative on the other sub. and a wire going from the negatvie on one and positive on one.

My Phoenix XS series subs will out perform your kickers and they are super old. They have to be at least 8 years old if not more and they have been around the block.

I really hate people who bash peoples systems because they have a specific componnent in it. Not everyone has to have the best system in the world and not everyone can afford it. If he likes Sony and feels it fits his needs and budget then sony is fine. I know a couple of people that just wanted a little bit of bass in their vehicles and they choose a Sony Sub. Not the best choice by any means but they like it. It fits their needs and it was cheap. Whether or not it will last the test of time is another thing.

kicker subs is loud I'll give that to u . but i also have 2 friends with the 15' solobaric and it's loud but it blows very easily. On the other hand i have a 15' eclipse titanium and it works fine for me. As for hooking up your subs in parallel or single go to the JL audio website. They have pictures and directions on how to hook up your sub if u want it parallel or single. Hope this help.
