Default Oil Squirters- LS Crank in GSR Block

I found a few posts with different opinions on this... many people put LS bottom ends in GSR motors (pretty much a ls/vtec with a gsr block) - and some say it fits fine- (no modifications)- while others say you need to grind a bit off of the oil squirters for clearance. Has anyone had any experience with this? ---

Also just want to confirm... if you put a thinner head gasket in - endyn says .012" = 1 degree of cam timing? - endyn should be the most reliable number- just want a confirmation.

If it matters- The setup is a GSR motor w/LS crank, eagle LS rods, arias 10.4 pistons (hoping for something like 10.6-11 compression w/head gasket) -- haven't decided on head parts yet... going to be something like stage 2 cams w/built valvetrain parts. And i have a N.O.S.- NOSzle kit - spraying 100-150 occassionally.

you dont grind anything, all you do is bend the squirters a little bit to clear the crank throws. Works fine in the GSR block....you will gain a lot more midrange.

You have no need for the oil squirter if you are running forged aftermarket pistons. Forged pistons can take more heat than and cast OEM piston.

If you already have the setup, then all u gotta do is bend the squirters a little bit, but if u didnt buy a block yet, just source an LS block because its gonna be cheaper.

i have a ls crank in my gsr bored too 84 mm i had too plug shut the oil squirters because the counter weights would hit them but its been good so far with 600 plus miles on it and it did make good mid range power .....

Great ok -- I have a complete GSR engine and i have LS parts lying around so i figured i might as well put the crank in for some better low/midrange power --- Also, dont want do deal w/the whole conversion process for a GSR head.

there would be like 1mm between the crank and the squirters.... just get the whole bottom end balanced a pray!
