is this even worth the time? it will go with an 83 mm bore, so my end displacement would be 188x cc's or so compared to 1797cc straight b18c1/5, and compared to 192x cc's on a straight LS

i figured i need to rev the ls, but if im doing this, i might as well get a vtec head...but i sorta want a fast LS to try to be sorta different

id go with the gsr block with the ls crank and ls sized rods...no external oil lines that way....plus you get the oil squirters and main girdle of the gsr.....but now you got the stroke of an ls engine...

well i already have a GE sleeved and z10 block girdled LS block, it was just the cranks that was giving me a problem, do i want the shorter stroke and the "better" (overhyped?) r/s ratio, or do i just say fawk it and use the LS crank, love the extra torque and have a "worse" r/s ratio, i mean i have the girdle and i will have forged components so im sure they could take the abuse...

its just the LS head flows crappy compared to the vtec heads, plus the Ls rockers are on like little pedastals with a ball bearing type pivot and not a rail like vtec heads so I dont know how "safe" it is to rev on valvetrain designed like that

use the block and crank(LS) that you have... with a vtec head

from my understanding the ls rocker arms start to fly off the pedastool about 8500 rpms

So with that, what if we throw in some ITR pistons - then what? due to cheap parts that is what i have waiting. I keep hearing of people relocating the wristpin for the LS rods on GSR/ITR type pistons - why relocate, from comparing it only seems the piston needs a few thousands machined off each side ofthe pin. - any advise on that?

Just to make sure before I put my engine together: There should be no problems using a GSR crankshaft, GSR length rods, with a B16 head on an LS Block correct?
