you have to remove the clock first, just pull the clock and it should come out.

Put a flat head under it and pry it out.

You arent trying hard enough. I have dealt with both the auto and manual climate control. Just slide it under the clock and press down, the clock should pop right out.

I have a 99 accord and the clock just pulls right out. What I did is aimed the A/c vents down so I could get to the clock. It does look like its built in, but if you look closely theres a small lip. I used my hands to pull it out, a screw driver works too. I just yanked that **** out. I was affraid I was going to hurt it but all was well. Had to replace my bulb, thus the reason I took it out. Theres a site that can help you take it apart. They sell LED's and stuff for light conversions. It used to be called 99accord.com but now its http://www.ledautomotive.com/ So yeah...go there...it will help you out with removing some of the stuff and it has nice pics too. Let me know if I can help with anything else because I have taken apart my WHOLE dash in my 99 sedan. More specificly, heres the page you will need:

You may also want to try and push the clock out from the back side if you can get your hand back there. Thats how I had to get mine out the first time. After that it came out pretty easy.

sorry. to bring this up from the dead.. but how do you remove the vents.. without damaging it. It feels like if i pull it out, it'll crack and I'll have to buy a new vent. I'm just interested in replacing the climate control. Anybody have n e tips. I already have the clock off and the screw behind the bolt.

There's 3 screws holding the whole thing on... The one behind the clock, and 2 at the very bottom. Remove the screws, then just pry out the whole piece... the climate control will come off with it.

pry the clock out from the bottom. DON'T PRY THE VENTS. the clock will pop out and there is a screw behind it. the whole bezel will come off easy once the screws are out.

i took the clock out and took the screw from behind the clock and the two screws on the bottom. It is not coming out easily.. it feels like if i force it anymore, something will crack.

Just a little force all the way around, don't apply all the force to one spot.

after you take out the three screws, there's six clip that you need to pull out, just apply enough force to take apart
