a cig lighter wire chart bec i have a empty plug that for the cig lighter but the cig lighter dont have any wire to go with the hardness plug and it been cut up so basically there no wire from the cig lighter

 

is it something that you could fix yourself by buying the correct guage wire from autozone and then patching it?

 

that what i was wondering which wire do i hook up i mean i have a plug for the cig lighter but the cig lighter itself dont have any wire on it

 

the center of the cig lighter is positive, the outer shell is negative. you can get them at an auto parts store and do it yourself, or find a harness to plug onto your stock one.

 

is there 2 wires that all or 3 ?

it's a simple install but do it carefully and tape everything off or you'll be popping fuses every time you hit a bump

Also, for the non smoker there's an added advantage of buying the aftermarket cigg, it comes with the rubber cap that says DC +12V on it. Smoothes out the style rather than the lighter sticking out.

Also depending on the year and make there may be a relay for the cigg lighter on the back of the center console. We just ignored it and it works fine without it.

 

well i just want a cig lighter to work for my phone charger and some other things so which wire goes in for a stock crx cig lighter or a civic 1 from the year of 91 ?

 

hell does any 1 got a hardness for the cig lighter i can buy from or use ?
