Default Ahh rear swaybar madness!!!!

I just got the ST front and rear swaybar kit for my 93 coupe. Do I need some type of special bracket to install a rear sway bar on my 93 ex coupe? I already have rear lca's with mounting points, do i need any other type of brackets, other then the little U clamp thing included in my kit?

Thanks!

I think the U clamps and the mounting points is all that holds it up. Dont quote me on that because i dont have sway bars.

Yes, I believe that to be true, as the rear suspensions are similar on the 5G Civics compared to the 3G Integras.

What slammed_93_hatch said. I have ST bars on my '94 hatch. These pictures may help you reference.

First off thanks alot! Nothing beats getting advice from someone who has the same kit, BTW how do you like it?

Anyway in this pic ^ is there a washer or something between the d brace and the subframe on the bottom hole? I have those two holes but it seems like they arent on the same planar surface (lower hole is recessed)?

I believe there is a washer...in fact I think you can see it in the photo. To be quite honest, I can't remember...because I installed this kit about 3 years ago. Many dead brain cells between then and now...but I guess I could run out and look under my car ro double check.

I like the kit...you will def notice a difference. And the front bar is def beefier that the stock bar. Some people have reported those rear brackets ripping out of the holes. But I can't imagine how they would have managed that aside from taking it off-road. I have had 0 problems. Well, I take that back...there was a bit of a clearance issue with my exhaust hitting the rear bar. But that problem seemed to clear itself after I lowered the car.

Nope...just ITR control arms. I needed them for my Tanabe coil-overs.

cool, thanks. Yeah ive heard about subframe damage with swaybars before. As far as I know its only improper use/installation that cause damage

Thanks again
