The list in my '98-'99 Helm book has 8 different entries for that. (Assuming '00 is about the same?) Does the D4 light flash it's own code at the same time? If not, then maybe it's P0725 = engine speed input circuit malfunction. Does this mean it's not seeing a tachometer signal properly?

Can you find a Helm repair book? There's some pretty detailed stuff for those codes, but I don't wanna trust my '98 book is exactly the same for your 2000.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by bpowa &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">yes d4 does flash 5 times.. along with check engine 70..

That indicates a problem with the shift possition switch or circuit.
