OBD 1.....Why?
Hello all,
I am new to the forum, and import tuning for that matter. I was wondering why anyone would want to convert OBD2 to OBD1? OBD1 has alot less diagnostic features then OBD2?
Like i said I am new so be gentle.

less restrictions. Also the power to be able to chip your ECU.
For instance.....OBDI as far as I know has 1 O2 sensor.
You cant chip OBDII ECU's making the Hondata's and Uberdata's etc unusable.

basically just tunability (if thats even a word) is the reason to convert from obd2 to obd1. its also just a matter of convenience for some when they do engine swaps to make things all obd1 instead of trying to convert obd1 to obd2 (which is typically alot tougher).
yeah and just like specV was getting at... hondata, uberdata, etc. dont offer crap for the OBD2 ecu's.
