Whats the difference between an OBD1 and OBD2, performance wise? why does it seem like OBD1 is more desirable?

Re: difference between OBD1 and OBD2 ?? (b16greenmachine)
In OBD 2 the computer has the ability to moniter a lot more of what the engine is doing. In OBD 2 there are a lot of standards that go over all makes and models. For example the troubles go by the same numbers and the plugin for the computer is always mounted under the steering wheel. It is usually easier to cheat with a OBD 1 car because the computer does watch the emissions as closely.
