Brake Noise - Need Diagnosis
I put new pads on about a week ago and am now experiencing noise from the fronts
WITHOUT APPLYING THE BRAKES.
Symptoms:
-Does it only after brakes warm up from a few stops in normal driving.
-Stops for 10-15 seconds after applying brakes.
-Reduces at higher speeds (70-80mph).
-Not the rears, as handbrake application does nothing and steping on pedal stops it.
-Will stop when I go into left-hand curves or jerk wheel left, but not when I jerk right or in right curves.
-Stopped during moderate rain.
-Started about 4 days after pads were changed.
Acura Integra Gen 3 GSR w/ EBC Green fronts, Porterfield R4S rears, Original Shims F&R
Brakes were bedded in and allowed to cool during driving after this procedure.
Rotors have 18K miles on them and were not turned.
My thoughts:
-Warpage (no shudder in pedal, though)
-Too little grease.

You need to remove and reistall the front brake pads.
Go to your local parts store and buy brake ads anti-squicking thing (can't think of the Brand I used last). It looks like paint, you brush it on the surface that touches the caliber and it's used to make the pads stop squicking.
If the noise you hear is not a brake pads squicking noise then chk your sheilds. Maybe you bent one during installation.

So it is the grease that goes on the back of the pad, and on the shims?
I think there wasn't enough on there to start with. I'll put more on.
Thanks.
Any other possibilities?

make sure that your pads are able to move in the channels... and also check out your calipers.... if the boot is torn you may have a hanging piston which means rebuilding or buying new caliper
