i used brand new 90 teg axles and int shaft with a Y1 tranny, theres a severe leak on the passenger side, its really annoying.

could it be the gasket/seal?

-First of all it could just be a bad axle seal. the spring inside the seal lip could have popped out, or the seal lip could have a cut in it. fairly easy to change. but i'm not sure where you can get a seal, or if any usdm seals will work. Just ask/search around.

-Second: it could be that your axle/int. shaft/tranny combo is not quite right. meaning that if the axle or int shaft is the wrong length, the part of the axle that the seal rides on is not located where it should be. Or the part that the seal rides on is the wrong diameter due to axle/trans incompatability. uuhh, maybe.

It's been a while since I read up on axle tech, so i may be way off base. (i hope not) Check the hasport site's axle tech section, that should help.

Anyway, hope that helps, or at least gets you thinking in the right direction.

if it is just pouring out of the axle seal, then most likely its the bearings in the transmission. i've been thru 3 trannys because of that ****. first time it happened i thought it was the seal to, but 3 brand new seals and many curse words later, still leaking. and now my 3rd tranny is leaking to. only a matter of time till that bitch blows up to. hope this helps, and good luck.

are you sure the axle is in all the way? i've seen it happen before...the axle popping out while rebolting the knuckles, etc. tranny fluid leaks out just because the axle isn't in all the way. just an idea...

it stays in fine until its driven and turns are made. this really blows
