All motor B20 setup pics please
i want to see some B20 setups (not B20/VTEC), specs and numbers in any chassis. im planning on doing a built B20 and want to se what everyone else is doing and what kind of numbers i can expect.
i havent got my car on the dyno yet but i have a b20vtec setup with s2im,dc 4- headers, apexi n-1 cat back, custom intake,vafc,s2 chipped ecu,s2 cam gears, cluch masters 8lb flywheel, msd digital 6 with blaster 2 coil, msd wires, denso iridiums,rc 310s,bbk fuel pump, aem fuel rail,b&m fuel pressure regulator. some people dont like the hybrid setups and talk down about them but i on the other hand like the hell out of mine. i would recomend a gsr tranny though if you can find one. currently with my setup on slicks i have run a 8.87@79 and 13.83@98.08 with full interior and no weight mods what so ever. its in my 93 civic coupe.

Whats that supposed to mean? Do you think Non-vtecs are not worth building?

so your trying to be different like everyone else then ?
I added a K&N drop in filter to the stock box used the LS TB a Skunk 2 IM and hondata TB gasket kamikaze 2.5 in header and an exhaust basically the same as this

and made an average of 150 to the wheels with hondata tuning on a dyno pack so about 165 hp on a b20b tq was about 135 to the wheels
In a DA with a b16 cable trans and some weight loss it was very quick

I have had a DC 4-1, a Kamakaze 4-1, and now a JDM ITR 4-1 w/ 2.5" collector on my LS!
Kamakaze did better than my DC 4-1 and my JDM ITR did way better than my old Kamakaze! However, every motor is different!!!

no im not trying to be different. my friend wrote that. but i dont want to do vtec b/c everything is more expensive. i already have crower springs an ret. for the ls/b20. i just want to have an idea what mods i need to do to get a certain hp/tq. also what kinda compression schould i run with crower 404's.
ANYWAYS back on the topic and my time to shine I dont know if this will help. I have a b20vtec runing 14.22@102 on 16' wheels in a full interior EM1. I havent een to the dyno yet either.
if u don't want 2 spend the money on vtec stuff, a good setup would b a pnp head, crower 404's with valvetrain and a b16 tranny. But ur car is going 2 idle like **** cause of the low cr, but if u can find some b20z pistons, u'll be like at 9.6:1 i think, correct me if wrong.

DC sports does'nt make a JDM 4-1 that is designed for the LS exhaust ports, even though it fits.
That header makes good power because it has a long smooth stretch to improve exhaust flow before it get's to all the flanges and bends and has near stock street clearance
For what I spent I was happy with the results though

yup, i was going with ib spec (wiseco) 11.3:1 pistons, crower 404's w/crower valvetrain, eagle rods, lmk if this sounds ok.

I was being sarcastic. Dont almost every setup look similar?

Huh? Care to explain? Bearings just dont spin for the hell of it.

They seem to have a problem with the rod bolts staying tight. Most of the sets I here and see are all for the 1.8LS motors and many people have said the rod bearings are to narrow as it is so who knows but I see lots of deals locally on all the sets from b16 to h22

11.3:1 will work great with the Crower 404's!

Yes, thats true!
However, same thing with a lot of the Vtec motors, their setup look pretty much alike too! If I were to post on my setup for my current build of my LS/Vtec then I'm sure there are plenty of ppl using the same stuff I am using!
