fuel cut off switch
I got the switch all wired up, I just want to know if any of you guys could give me some ideas on where to mount it. Here are some ideas that I already eliminated cuz they're too common: steering colum, glove box, arm-rest console, under seat, ash tray, fuse box..
Is there anything left?
i feel like I'm making it harder than it is, but i just want to make sure fukin thieves don't find it. TIA ( sorry for my Paragraph)

so with this fuel cut switch, does it just keep your pump from giving fuel, and your starter couild still be cranked on by dumb theives for a half hour before they give up? or does nothing nothing else work without the fuel pump being on? Seems like it'd be a better ideal to have an ignition switch (other than your keys) that's hidden and theives can't drain your battery cranking the engine with no fuel, and couldn't that damage your engine too? I don't know. Someone fill me in, and sorry if I'm jacking your thread, I would just put it under the passenger seat if i were you, easy to reach still, but who would check the passenger side for something like that?
exactly as you described, the switch cuts only the power to the fuel pump. the engine still cranks. the car even turns on for about 3-5 secounds before it shuts down, i guess the fuel that is already in the lines.I did it because of the article on team-integra and it seemed easy, also I already have an ignition kill apart from the one my alarm has about it damaging my engine i doubt it and havent heard anything suggesting that.as for <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by ckyguy »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">sorry if I'm jacking your thread</TD></TR></TABLE> its cool, thx for your tip ANY OTHERS
the only thing you'll kill when the thieves are trying to start your car is your starter, and as of hiding the switch...hide it in a vent or some easily removeable interior panel
my question to you is the following
where did you cut the cables from fuel pump
in order to place the switch in?
pls dont tell me from underneath the seat!

This is too stupid to be talking about online. When guys do this, its for their protection. Someone on the board could be a thief you never know.
As a general rule, dont talk about security in public places like this.
Think of the first 5 places where you would like to hide the switch. DO NOT hide it on any one of those. Put it somewhere else.
O and if thieves want to break into my car and with a cutoff, all they do is kill my starter, thats better that having no car. You want it the other way?

Don't splice the wire right under the back seat. That's the first place they'll look.
As far as the switch location....be creative. The more time you take in hiding, the more time it'll take to find.
