Fuel Cut-off Switch Nightmare
Ok. Today I tried to install the fuel cutoff switch on my car. Well.. something went terribly wrong. I spliced the green/yellow wire and did the wiring on it. Well something went wrong cus when i flipped the switch to "off" the car turned off.. and never turned on again. I undid all the wiring i had done, and still no response. The car SOUNDS like it wants to start, but does not. It seems like no fuel is going through. I have no clue what to do.. My car is currently dead.. any help would be greatly appreciated.

If i were you id check your fuses first. If anything else try reseting your computer by disconecting your neg. battery terminal for a few minutes and see what happens. Its probably a fuse though..
let me know what happens....PM me.

I took all the wires off, no more switch.. just the same old setup as it was. I have not tried to listen for the fuel pump to prime, what should it sound like? (stupid question?)

I have checked all my fuses, all are fine, including the ones under the hood. I will try the computer reset right now.

garunteed *sp? that you blew the fuel pump fuse.. its under the dash, next to the yellow abs fuse..
i dont understand why everyone makes a cut off switch it does work but you can also pull the fuse, and put in a blown one and a theft will enver know the difference, all you gotta do is take out all the spare fuses so he doesnt have a fuse to put in there.. although he could take a p/w fuse or something i guess.. check your fuse bro, you blew it..

Turn your key so the accesory comes on. Listen for a buzzing noise under the back seats. Also turn your radio off. If you hear the buzzing then the fuel pump is coming on. If not, then it isn't.
