Default Crower Valvetrain?

I've heard horror stories of crower cams breaking in pieces...but I haven't read any reviews on crower springs and retainers. Are they any good?

I spent the money on a good Crower valvetrain, heard great things about it. If I had the extra money ferrea would have been my next choice.

I love my Crower Valvetrain and I use Ferrea Valves too!

It's definitely worth the $!!!!

Crower:
Cams $350
Valvesprings $185
Retainers $100

Ferrea Valves $200

LS PARTS ARE CHEAP!!!

Good! I am getting a head with crower springs and retainers...I wasn't too sure if I had to toss them out and get supertechs or portflows. Seems like a lot of people like them and they are holding up....these are keepers then

Do you mean "put them in yourself at home?"

Yes, you can as long as you have the proper tools!

On LS Heads you can actually change the Valvesprings without removing the head, however if you are replacing valves, then I suggest changing the Pistons as well since you will have to remove the head!
