Crower Cams... ?
Since I have never owned them, I can only go by what I have heard. Many people have complained of problems with cam breakage, among other things. It is impossible to know whether or not installation errors are responsible for the problems people have posted on this board, but for my $ I wouldn't get Crower anything. With parts as important as cams, valvesprings, etc. (especially if you are going to be racing), I think it's worth it to pay top $ for the top parts.
considering crower rods are good i wouldnt say crower is bad. everyone ive known with crower cams have good experiences and they like them.
so its all a matter of personal opinion.

True, by "anything" I really meant valvetrain wise, I should have been more specific. Regardless, it is a matter of personal opinion. Mine is don't buy Crower valvetrain components. By no means do I think they are total crap, and I'm sure many people run them w/ success. I just wouldn't buy them. To each their own.

I believe alot of the Crower problems are due to user error, due to installation, or using the wrong components. A friend of mine just broke his Jun Exhaust cam, that
I sold him about three months ago. I know he doesnt install the cams correctly
may be one reason, but he was also using Ferrea valve springs and retainers.
I never had a problem for over 6 months.... so you be the Judge.

I've got those cams.....63402 with Skunk2 valvetrain and it works fine for me. For "racing use" as you quoted, why don't u get the 63403? A little more aggressive.
Here are my experiences with Crower cams, have a look

I read all three of your links and was wonder what the current status is on your engine? Also have you contacted crower again and are they going to replace all parts again? Did you find out if the problem was seat height? Sorry for the barrage of questions but your situation is very interesting, Thanks
Good times, huh?
The current status of my motor is great(as I reach for something wooden to knock on
).
I was gonna go dyno it yesterday, but the shop did`nt have time on short notice. I expect satisfactory results. Crower replaced everything that was damaged, not just once, but twice!! They realized their mistake, the fact that the springs were prematurly fatigued meant the entire deal was related solely to bad springs, and not to bad cams. The problem was not seat height as all that was verified to be within the appropriate specs.
I`ll edit and add more info as I can think of it...

recent attention has been to a few crower cams that broke. So if these are any worries to you...then go with something else.
IMO, crower makes tons of cams and for a few to fail is only natural.
