When to Shift for EP3?
Hey guys...
I'm sure there must have been someone who asked about this and I'm sorry.
I was wondering if anyone knew when is the best time to shift for EP3s.
I have an 04' EP3 all stock. Just recently got it.
I just wanted to know when to shift in terms of performance for the car so that I won't ruin the engine. I heard that shifting at 3,000 rpm is good for every gear but I also heard other suggestions, like shifting to third at 30 mph and forth at 40, and so on...
I don't know if you guys know an arcade game called Initial D but for that game, there is a specific point on the RPM to shift in order to have a fast acceleration to lead first in the game when you race so that you are in front of the opponent.
Game could be totally different than the real world of driving but just was curious if there was just a thing for cars and EP3 to be specific.
Thanks a lot for reading what I put up guys.
I'll be stoppin by to see what you guys replied.
Latez~

If you want the performance kick up the RPM's, if not then chill out on the throttle
....the stock rev limit is 6800 RPM's someone correct me if i'm wrong
