turbo???

Default turbo???

i know there are a few of you guys out there what have you done to lower the conp. on yout car to turbo it? i know stock the conp. is high so you have to run a low bost so you don't pop the motor whats the deal on this?

i just don't see the point of redoing everything if i wanted to do that i would do that to a Ls not a my R

what is safe and what isn't

with right keywords you could find some good information by searching this and FI forum..

your motor will blow with any type of compressoin. don't boost unless you can afford to rebuild. you can lower with thicker gasket, you must compensate with cam gear for height increase. but i don't see the point if you're going to run more boost with lower compression and have it less responsive. stock motor is fine you just can't boost a whole lot

as far as hp goes, its best to keep within low 200's on stock motor to have it last for longer time, high 200's with forged internals and with stock sleeves and so on.. i still don't see people having over 50k boosted miles.. usually because of errors and wanting more boost

but is it ok to run a low boost stock i have an AEM EMS to put on and i would get it dyno'ed and tuned right it is not my evryday car i have my HB for that

you need to learn a bit more about turbos, high compression motors, and why and when people should lower compression.

evidently you are trying, coming to honda-tech, but perhaps you have not been introduced to the very useful but yet little utilized SEARCH feature of the website.
