tranny welding...help

Default tranny welding...help

ok think of a b series tranny rear mounting area the lower bolts have broken through the bell housing so there for i can not bolt anything there how would, or would anyone think it possible to maybe weld and re drill the holes and it be sturdy enough for race or should i just try to find a new bell housing. sorry for the punctuation. im trying to leave work. thanks for all the help if anyone responds.

just JB weld it and in the mean time look for a new bell housing.

i dont have the pieces of the bell housing that fell off though just the bolts that came off later.

I saw a post on here not too long ago, the guy had the same problem as your having, he used some silly putty to make a mold and then stuffed some JB weld down in there and re-tapped it. he said it held together. I think it's in the post is in the weld/fab. form

i will try to check it out i guess since i have an aftermarket motor mount kit that may be strong enough.

just take it to a place that can weld al. well and they'll fix it.

it all depends, it should only take 1-2 hours, how much for labor and supplies. at the most I'd say $100?

they did 2 bolt holes+ tap for $75 if i remember right
