Default Is there a difference between cam/dizzy timing?

I have a skunk2 cam gear and i was wondering if there is a difference between the cam and dizzy timing? My timing is stock @ 16...so...if i was to advance my cam by using my cam gear to +2 would the timing equal to the amount of 18?

that question is kind of a yes and know. but in your case if you move the cam advanced or retarded that will throw off the timing in that same respect. so if you go adv +2 then your ignition timing will go to 18 degrees if 16 was the original setting. same goes for retarding.

i see... so for boostin' how much should i retard the timing by the amount of boost? Lets say 10 psi?

I actually do not like to retard the timing like that for boost, I would rather have the ecu do it via hondata or something of that nature. maybe bring it back 2 degrees but anymore the car will feel crappy on the street. too retarded.
