i have a b16a that i am puttin in a crx, bensons sleeved block, cp 9:1's pauter rods, acl bearings...all the serious equipment. now this is my first buildup and i will be going turbo, with big boost. but i want to be streetable also...what size turbo would suit my needs and what kind of boost should i be expected to run...and numbers...i see numbers well into the 4's and 5's as for hp?...is this setup capable of those kinds of numbers....i'm told that it is....hondata s200 or aem? which is better...and gude head...yes or no...i heard great things and i have the cash to spend...i wanna make a monster...any opinions will help...let me know?

 

Low compression b16a, what bore? Unless you are running a very large bore, don't expect a larger turbo capable of producing huge power to spool anytime soon on the street.
P.S. Your motor setup is identical to mine, except I'm running Manley rods.

 

I'm not trying to diss you or anything, but it seems as though you havent researched this much, because if you did, you would know what turbo to get, what this setup can handle and so on. I reccommend using the lovely search function, and it has helped me many times, and maybe checking out some turbo manufacture's websites to see what they say about their turbos. Good luck!

 

the reason i posted is to figure all of this stuff out...its not started yet...a few weeks from now it will be well on its way to being built. i need to figure all the specs out now so i know what to expect down the road, as for turbo and what not. and i only want it to be streetable...i dont care if its a dog and has no low end power...but i wanna be able to use the car daily...so i am still leaning toward a larger bore and larger turbo...i want 1/4 mile times...thats all...the car is punchy now with 90hp...i dont thinks its gonna be a prob on the street with this motor...input would help from you guys though...i'll probly let earl decide in the end...supposably his crx is a 9.30 car...
