has anyone ever treid and "evacuator" fan????
what im wondering is if anyone has ever tried something like the bilge pump style sylinder fans to actually pull air our from under the hood or tried to bring fresh air in, especially at an idle, would this work worth a **** or no................some input would be nice.
i was thinking about routing one where my washer bottle use to be on my EG and either pushing colder air into the engine area or pulling it out with some sort of induction system

the entire bottom of the bay is open to the ground, i don't think a little fan will do ****... Your better off just removing the black splash shield and the black plastic shield where the AC would go. Another thing you can do is route your intake as far away from the turbo as possable.
Screw you guys, I'm... going... home.

I think those fans have such low flow that it wouldn't do much at all. Are you just trying to lower underhood temps? Is it to have cooler intake air or just to keep the engine bay from getting so hot?
just wanted to lower engine temps a little more, i mean i have a good radiator, and i know of a company, not necessarily a "bilge pump" company but something similar, that moves like 1500cfm, im sure it couldnt hurt, i may try it and do a write up.
i just need to find out where to get those little thermometers that all the miata guys use to monitor underhood temps and not necessarily engine temps

I wouldn't recommend removing your splash shield. It actually helps pull a lot of air out of the back of the engine compartment. Just my .20
