Default MY RADIO IS DEAD!!

i had an after market deck in my car and just today i started my car after work and the radio would not turn on and my clock was all dimmed and the wrong time. so when i got home i put my stock one back in and it worked but it would reset everytime i turned off my car, no memory at all. and the clock is still dimmed and it pretty much just fades out when i start driving. please help because its driving me nuts!!!

check fuses.. im guessing the fust under the hood is just burnt i believe it was the fuse backup, check all of them tho.

lol that means u hav eno constant power.
stock decks tend to run off the ignition power if the constant is dead BUT since they have no constant the stock deck resets everytime you turn off the car (loss of power)

after market decks tend to use the constant as a power source and the ignition simply turns them on.

so basicly check where oyu have the constant wired to. check its fuse and if u wanna test it. grab the constant fromt he deck and run it direct to the battery. betcha that works.. just dont leave it like that

Under the hood, radio backup fuse. It's a small 7.5 amp that could have fried, and that would hence be your constant problem. Sounds to me thats what it is like, since when you fry that, you'll only pull about 1-2 volts for some odd reason. Same thing happened to me, but it was after i put in my autometers.

yea that fuse was fried, but i changed it. clock works but seems like there is no power to the radio still...because b4 this happened it always asked for the code. now it doesnt say nething no more. nemore help would be nice
