RADIO HAS NO POWER~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
soo...i got this new radio into my car..have had it for like 3 months now..and its been working fine until about two days ago... it just didnt turn on...put the removable faceplate on and it didnt turn on after i pressed power... so i took it off..and there is a red light that usually flashes...i assume its to know its gettin power but now its not flashing...so yea... i thought it would be a fuse.. but i doubt it cuz the fuse also powers the clock and cig lighter and those both worked..i checked the wiring on the radio..everything is good...so yea..dont know what to do...oh yea i have a 90 crx..

Check all the fuses in the car. Not just the ones that you think are the appropriate ones... All of them. If you verify (with a meter or test light) that they're all good, pull the radio and check the ground, constant and switched 12v lines and let us know what you find.

Modified by lx130 at 6:13 PM 8/12/2006</TD></TR></TABLE> Lets assume that the acc. and constant 12V+ don't just look fine, but actually are fine, although I don't know how you would tell by just looking, but assume they are, and you have checked, even redone, the wiring, that only leaves the HU as the problem, with it being a Dual, it would not surprise me that it went west.
Where did you get the HU? 94

Re: RADIO HAS NO POWER~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (lx130)
why dont you just take the radio out and put power to it negative and positive to see if its the radio. If the radio comes on then its a fuze or something wrong with wiring.

just chuck the radio you will pay more for a damn multimeter than a new HU lol....maybe the faceplate connection is bad, the HU itself might have went boom...check to make sure you have 12V going into ignition and acc, constant, check the grounds, if you are getting that voltage then the HU is bad, try swapping in a buddies that works and then you will know for sure
