Default Alternator replacement

Can anyone tell me how to get to the bottom bolt of the alternator on an 06 Civic EX Coupe??

you need a deep socket 12mm head

I tried 2 different ones, pulley kept being in the way so it wouldn't catch the bolt

Is it a certain one? I tried 2 different ones, pulley kept being in the way so it wouldn't catch the bolt

The deep socket i had wasnt long enough, had to go get this one, I appreciate it though!

lol why are you using a breaker bar ? all you need is a small ratchet and the bolt should easily break loose

it's only a 12mm head bolt and there are two bolts down there if i remember right, you might be on the wrong bolt

using your fingers, feel down there and make sure you are on the alternator bolt

and move that belt out of the way or you can just go under it if you don't want to move the belt, it's really tight right there

lol leverage, it was on there tight. But it went smooth once i found a deeper socket
