95 civic 4dr LX alternator wont come loose.

Default 95 civic 4dr LX alternator wont come loose.

I have loosend both nuts that are required to losen in order to pull off the alternator belt. But I am unable to move the alternator at all. Could somebody please help. or do you have any tips?

dito... just hit it with something, rubber hammer if ya got one, but if not you can always just use a big screw driver or something to pry it loose............

common problem for any alt that hasnt been removed in awhile....

I am trying and it is just not budging, I took the top braket bolt completely out, but the bottom hinge bolt wont turn. Also I am having trouble taking out the Crank Shaft pulley bolt. It won't turn at all and I am using a air gun.

I got the alternator loose. a dog leash, a rag, and a custom pulley setup did the trick. thanks for the help though everyone, greatly appreciated. Its good there is a site around like this for good customer help.

Did you loosen the tensioner bolt ?

untighten the tensioner...

pulley removal requires the use of a pulley puller... a special tool

or just hit it with a hammer/ wrap the hammer in a cloth
