sound really good IMO. Worth the $15. Considered replacing the factory speakers in my Jeep

Cleaning up on messy and hacked harness. Soldered of course. I picked up some stuff to clean it all up today... more heat shrink, loom, zip ties, black tape...

Also done today:
-Cleaned inside trans bell
-Broke drivers side mount loose finally (penetrating oil and heat). Then cleaned and then painted and then installed new mount
-separated old engine and trans and stole all the bolts I needed.
- wire brushed and cleaned all hardware
-installed flywheel with locktite at 87ftlbs

Shiny
Also:
-cleaned clutch fork, checked lock spring
-greased and installed throw out bearing
-mocked up pressure plate and disc, was about to torque to 25ftlbs...

then company showed up. Cleaned up afterwards. Feels like I’m getting real close. But I’m sure more is going to come up.

Mated up. Still Cleaning up the harness, going to re loom what I can and black tape the whole thing. Rinsed off injectors and sprayed some cleaner in them.

Hiccups-
Turns out my dizzy won’t work. Need a z6. Input? Will it work if I get 2 holes lined up? I doubt it...

Starter bolts had some junk all over, looked like “quick steel” from the old block

Need exhaust mani gasket

I know it’s (still) a nest. My goal wasn’t a “tuck”. But it’s been CLEANED reloomed taped and reinstalled. I added a little extra close to connectors knowing they’re getting brittle.

Excuse the mess. Also installed the timing cover and torqued the crank pulley
Never mind the “Meats” in the background

Warning: not Honda related, lol
Need to buy:
dizzy
alt belt
oil filter
ALL FLUIDS

Need to do:
install shift linkage
secure connections and hoses
install driveshafts and hub assemblies
wheels and tires on the ground

CLEAN GARAGE:
i have to clean it up to accommodate my poor Jeep! It’s been an outside Jeep for the entirely too long.
Goal is to have this car running and breaking in as I give the Jeep a little R&R. I’ll be tackling all fluids and greasing her up real good. I need to track a suspected power steering leak. Summer is right around the corner for some good off roading and I have a set of wheels and Big boy tires to change the look up a bit.

Fuel filter

thanks! Most definitely will!

Have had slow progress on Civic:

been busier than ever with work... constant 50 + hours a week. Between work, home life and family get togethers - I have had little to no time to work on it. It’s only needing axles reinstalled, shift linkage and misc button up.

another hold up is the distributor. Got burned on a FB deal the other day. Some dude sold me “the wrong one” and some other BS along the way. Longer story short, this is the problem with the Honda community... these guys. took a little wind out of my sails and madd me direct my time yesterday to get my wheels on my Jeep.

ill be picking up a distributor, probably new from autozone. Maybe axles later for the lifetime warranty.

Getting closer!
-harness completely ran
-painted a few things with black wrinkle paint (battery tray, fuel filter holder, radiator stay)
-zip tied a few wires in their secure locations
-buttoned up all the vacuum lines, hoses, fuel and air intake)
-water lines and radiator (had a small leak in thermostat housing, fixed)
-filled coolant with a 50/50 mix for the break in and summer (may add water wetter)
-gapped and installed spark plugs (with anti sieze)
-fuel filter, new copper crush washers
-valve cover breather hose was a 2 hard line deal on the original engine, so I used some brass fittings and clear line I had extra from my Jeep onboard air kit
-degreased and washed a few things

Should I add AC??? I seems like it could be done for $200 or so...

This car wasn’t intended to be a daily with all the creature comforts of AC/Power steering/power locks and windows.

relateable questions:

how much value will it add to this car? $500?
what would be a selling price range for this car? I would love to get, if I ever decide to sell, $3k as is. $3500 with AC?
how much will I be using this car? This essentially being my 3rd vehicle n all.
how much will it effect the performance? WORTH IT?
wait to see if I add a turbo? T25 Kits look to fit AC

Good questions!

I guess the time to add would have been when everything was out, but if you are going to go turbo, maybe wait?
