Yea I’m still so torn on what to do about seats. Oem red recaros, DC5 front red recaros for an updated look or just go straight to a FIA certified bucket? Still thinking on it I’d love a ek9/dc2 or dc5 passenger seat and then just a red recaro bucket for the driver only. Then the lady would still like riding in it more vs a bucket.

We should go ahead and remove "restomod" from the title. He painted a rare colored hatch Yellow.

Just because it’s rare doesn’t mean it’s cool!

I'm in exactly the same position. I don't really fit in the Recaros though... Maybe I should stop lifting?

I haven’t sat in them in forever but I’m pretty tall and broad shoulders so I doubt they’ll be a perfect fit by any means.

I have DC2 Mint seats. I had them on my build post but that photobucket bs happened. If your ever in cali, Ill throw a good deal. Im iffy on shipping. Im not going with them and decided to do CTR red ones......i think...... i kinda want a low max recline able but im not down to pay 1200 a seat especially seeing im the only one in the car when i drive it and i wont do mismatch seats....... shrug. This is why the car is sitting.... lol.

I've been looking into DC5/EP3 Recaros, they just seem so bulky compared to EK9/DC2.I may even grab a set from one of our DC1 Integras, they're the same as US ITR.

Are they the black ones? I really want red seats to match the look.

wonder what the weight difference is? I might just go straight to buckets because of that.

I just weighed some seats for you. EP3 Recaro was 44 lbs, EK9 Recaro was 40 lbs, US ITR was 33 lbs. So really, the DC5/EP3 Recaros are only 4 lbs heavier per seat than the EK9/DC2. And they aren't near as snug as the EK9. So maybe they're still a viable option.

Also, EP3 has this neat slider

I just sat in the EP3, and it feels way nice. Not too tight in the thighs, and plenty of room for broad shoulders.

ep3/dc5 might be the way to go then! Thanks for the photos and test fit that's mighty handy to have them all nearby you

How would you all compare the bolstering from the DC2 to the ep3? I've been leaning towards the Integra seats because these Ek SI seats are basically park benche, but haven't sat in anything else. Will I see any improvement?

Also, what about Del Sol seats? I'm 6'1", 190lbs if yall think it matters.

Idk about the Sol seats. EP3 isn't bolstered as agressively as EK9, but way better than stock EG/EK/DC. Here's a pic next to base RSX seats.

I went em1 seats and they sucked so I got some gsr confetti ones. You just have to swap one rail with the ek one so all 4 bolts line up it’s simple.

Easily sits 2” lower or more. I’m 6’5” so every inch counts when trying to be comfy. Get some integra seats even ls or gsr for now.

Yeah you can definitely tell the difference there.

I think Integra clean LS or GSR seats are gonna be my choice mainly because of how much cheaper they are. I have spare rails so I can probably make most of money back selling my SI seats.

I've been thinking about just putting the rear seats back in, I don't really wanna compete in the SMF class, don't have the wallet for it ha. Having the rear and front seats match is a big deal for me, how much do you guys think getting the rear seats reupholstered would be? Unless there is a color combo that looks good that isn't leather...

I say you do ITR rears like me :p but it sucks and is taking a lot more work than expected.

Someone in GDD brought these up and I am tempted to run them. The name brand is hard to live with although the color scheme is perfect.

There are only so many ITR sedan bottoms, haha! Those look good, I'd be worried about the fixed back, but I don't think you're daily-ing yours.

Yea if I get two with a fixed back what’s the point of rear seats? So I’d like one for the driver and then I’m back to the passenger seat problem hah. I’ll keep an eye open for one reclineable seat it’s out there.
