I think I just ordered the LAST Gold Beaks X-Brace for 92-95 Civics that will ever be sold BNIB.

Contacted JHPUSA and they said only 1 left, and they've been discontinued so after that one sold they wouldn't be getting any more. Even checking other sites, on ANY color option, the Beaks X brace is thinning out.

The aftermarket is definitely starting to slowly shrink on our cars, day by day. I should have put some orders in sooner this weekend, going to be installing my rear seat delete interior kit along with some lighweight sound deadening ASAP, but I don't have the deadening in the mail yet so it may have to wait a bit.

Also just going to take my car by a reputable electrician at some point when I can jostle the cars around, because I'm ******* done trying to figure out the remnants of the mess behind the dash.

Randomly, the drivers side window wouldn't go back up and it's supposed to storm tomorrow. Once I got home I did a quick youtube search and found out this is not a one off problem since there are plenty of videos covering pulling the door card and putting the window back into the track.

Now it mostly works, but one video showed that after this happens, the scissor mechanism for the window gets bent and it will happen all the time. That is not something I want to replace!

Smithcraft, the mechanism isn't hard to replace. It took more time to get the door card off than it did to replace the entire mechanism. I got it from RockAuto and everything bolted up/lined up/plugged in without any issues.

Thanks! The door card wasn't too hard, other than the 5 screws, so that's very encouraging!

RockAuto FTW!

I, hopefully, fixed the loose rear view mirror earlier this evening.

So this is a template of the driveshaft size. May have to run the exhaust directly out of the hood haha.
Finishing up the hanger, going to weld it into the car sometime this week.

Are you planning to re-enforce the rear subframe?

Short answer, yes. I have one reinforcement in right now, I need to make it a little more stronger than an average awd civic setup since Mitsubishi is rear bias. The 3000gt vr4 has a power distribution of 45/55 instead of Hondas 70/30.

Cell phone pics, sorry. Waxed every square inch of exterior paint on the Si. Chemical Guys Butter wax is pretty awesome stuff. I'm going to wax all jams, and bay this weekend.

Finally got the Energy Suspension mounting hardware for my 22mm LS front sway bar for my 93 LX. I had already done the LS front brake swap, so I had the proper lower control arms already. Install wasn't too bad, but I did have to retap a driver side bushing hole (the weld from the backing nut was between the subframe and the threads). The drive into work this morning was much more fun

If I may ask for opinions, I have two options to take right now.
1. Swap the stock auto for a dx manual transmission (currently apart, gears and synchros look good, but ISB is toast)
2. Take a few days to drive back home and throw in an obd1 b18b (unknown condition/mileage) with gsr transmission (also unknown condition) that I have at my house.

For both options, the only things I have left to purchase are a clutch (and resurface used flywheels), auto-to-manual transmission mount, and urethane for the torque mounts and shifter.

Got a 94 Civic sedan to replace my 98 Civic coupe.

Got 96-00 Ex Civic front knuckles and bolted them on for slightly better brakes.
Y8 intake manifold swap.

Just minor mods to the sedan for now.

Drove it to work today. Running good but I pulled a P0505 code the other day, so have to look into that. Also have to chase down about 9000 rattles through the interior of the car.

Replace oil pan gasket. Removing old gasket was a pita. Dried and stuck.
hint
Use acetone, soak paper towel. Lay over residual gasket material. Let soak for 5mins. Rubber will pretty much scrape off easy with your finger nail.

Cracked the radiator Just drove it a bit after timing belt change and the temp went way up. Coolant was bubbling out of the foam seal along the front and could see exactly where after pulling the seal off. Damn, I remember something like the droplight falling on it but didn't think it was a big deal.

Got the rear sub frame in, I would say the rear setup is about 80% done. Can't wait to feel how she handles with a true rear independent suspension and not that trailing arm crap.
